This delicate little flower was hiding in the shadows below a hedge near Mannington Hall. This seems to be a good time of year to look out for Ivy-leaved Speedwell Veronica hederifolia. The bright blue anthers (the anthers are blue but the pollen is almost white) and the very few (if any) long hairs on the flower stalk suggest that this specimen is subspecies hederifolia.
