Common Eyebright occurs in short grasslands, on heaths, dunes, in open scrub and woodland rides. It is one of the most common and ecologically diverse of our eyebrights (Metherell & Rumsey, 2018).
In Norfolk, Common Eyebright is probably the most widespread and frequent species. Although it appears thinly scattered on the map, it is probably under-recorded; many eyebrights are just recorded as the aggregate.
