Yellow Glasswort is an annual largely restricted to open mud and muddy sand on intertidal flats and in the lowest parts of saltmarshes (S. J. Leach in Preston et al, 2002). It was described as a new species in 1959.
In Norfolk, Yellow Glasswort has been recorded at several locations along the north coast saltmarshes from Titchwell to Cley.
